Turtle Sculpture

The University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) will be organising the UCSF Turtle Run 2018 on October 6, in conjunction with its annual Green Carnival. The aim of the run is to raise awareness on the importance of turtle conservation, a practice that the ‘Green University’ is advocating.
More than 160 participants took part in the UCSF Turtle Charity Run 2018 organised by UCSF, recently. The participants are mostly from the public, university's staff and students, covered a distance of 7KM and 3KM in the charity run. The 7KM run was flag-off by the Chairman of UCSF Board of Governors, Datuk K.Y Mustafa and the 3KM was flag-off by Deputy Vice Chancellor of UCSF, Prof Dr Gires Ak Usop. The Deputy Director of Sabah Foundation, Datuk Hajah Rosmawati bt Haji Lasuki officiated the officiating ceremony of UCSF Turtle Charity Run 2018, on behalf of YBhg. Datuk Haji Jamalul Kiram bin Datuk Haji Mohd Zakaria, Director of Sabah Foundation. The UCSF Turtle Charity Run was part of this year’s UCSF Green Carnival. This year marked the 3rd year of the Green Carnival event, with the objectives to promote sustainability through exciting activities focusing on environment and species conservation especially turtles. UCSF would like to thank all participants, event sponsors, students, UCSF staff, participating agencies and NGOs.
